Important Guidelines for Prom
We are all looking forward to a wonderful prom night! In addition to all LPHS handbook guidelines, please follow these guidelines at Prom and Post Prom so the evening can be enjoyable for all.
1. All LPHS rules and regulations are enforced at the Prom & Post Prom.
2. All Lake Park High School students entering must present an ID card, and guests must bring a photo ID.
3. A student may bring one guest to the dance. All guests must be pre-registered using the completed guest form by May 4.
4. Appropriate dress is required. Backpacks are not allowed. No bags larger than a small swag bag will be allowed at prom & post prom.
5. All attendees MUST arrive by 7:00pm.
6. Once a person leaves the building, they will not be allowed to re-enter. Attendees are expected to stay through dinner (~8pm). Parents/guardians will be contacted for any student leaving earlier.
7. If students or guests are found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, they will be turned over to the police liaison officer, removed from the dance, and receive further discipline from Lake Park High School, which may include non-participation in commencement.
8. Those displaying inappropriate/explicit dancing will be given a warning.
***Students who do not follow guidelines or directions from staff may be dismissed from the dance without a refund. This may result in the student not being allowed to attend the post prom. Students in violation of these guidelines at Post Prom will face disciplinary consequences upon return.
